The Wisconsin Badgers are set to host 10 recruits this weekend, as the second group of official visits will take place on campus.

Wisconsin saw their first weekend turn out as a success, with three players already committing and the buzz looking good for other top targets, which they’ll look to carry into this upcoming weekend.

Here are the 10 players scheduled to visit. Let’s break down each recruit for the Badgers.

Offense

RB Byron Louis

It appears that the Badgers are solely focusing on four-star Florida running back Byron Louis in this cycle, as other targets Javin Gordon and John Forster are now looking elsewhere.

Louis, a 5’11, 200-pound back, has been atop Wisconsin’s board in regards to talent, but has a number of heavy hitters after him.

Miami recently hosted Louis on an official visit, while Florida State will close out his summer with a visit in two weeks, and the sense is that both hometown schools are pushing hard for the four-star running back.

But, the Badgers have done a great job here even getting Louis to come for an official visit, and it seems they’re going all-in on the four-star running back, which they have the luxury to do after landing three running backs in the 2024 class.

There is a bit of a Florida-to-Wisconsin pipeline building, but this one could be harder to pull off, given the interest of the hometown teams.

WR Eugene Hilton

Possibly the top receiver target for the Badgers still on the board, four-star Indianapolis wideout Eugene Hilton will make his way to Madison this weekend.

Interestingly enough, the Badgers are Hilton’s only scheduled official visit thus far, but the Georgia Bulldogs have long been in this race and were expected to be the favorites, although that situation seems fluid.

Wisconsin has done a good job over the past few months and appear in a good spot here heading into the official visit.

Hilton’s offer list is expansive, and he would definitely fit the Badgers on the outside with his 6’2, 195-pound frame.

This one would be a major grab if Wisconsin can pull it off.

OL Hardy Watts

The Badgers did really well along the offensive line during the first weekend of official visits, nabbing commitments from four-star interior offensive lineman Logan Powell and tackle Nolan Davenport.

Right now, it seems that they have one spot left, and Watts is the lone target for that position as one of the best interior offensive lineman in the country.

Wisconsin is going up against a tough group that includes Clemson, who got the first official visit, and Michigan, who will get the last visit of the group.

Watts feels like one of the recruits where Wisconsin is looking to pull out all the stops for, but they are facing elite competition for the four-star. We’ll see how this visit goes.

OL Cam Clark

Clark committed to the Badgers in April, and has remained steadfast with his verbal pledge.

A Michigan native, the offensive tackle did receive an offer from Michigan State, but it appears all is going as planned here, with Clark taking an official visit only to Wisconsin this summer.

Defense

DL Wilnerson Telemaque

The Badgers bumped up their visit one weekend for Wilnerson Telemaque, viewing him as a priority along the defensive line.

It appears to be a two-team race at the moment for Telemaque, who is coming off a visit with West Virginia and has shared that Wisconsin is in that top two as well.

The Badgers have a good chance to pull this recruitment off, as there’s both the need factor as well as the relationship with defensive line coach E.J. Whitlow.

Telemaque is committing to a program on June 18th, so the Badgers will know sooner than later about their fate in this recruitment.

OLB Nicholas Clayton

The Badgers hosted two of their top outside linebacker targets last weekend with Jayden Woods and Jayden Loftin, and now round it out with Nicholas Clayton this weekend.

Wisconsin is in an interesting spot, as they likely have one spot left at the position, but it’s unclear if Clayton would be an immediate take should he be ready to commit this weekend.

Nonetheless, Clayton is a talented player who also is a Florida native, and the Badgers have done a good job here.

Wisconsin is competing with UCF, Illinois, and Florida State here, and I expect this situation to drag out for a bit as the Badgers evaluate their outside linebacker board.

OLB Brendan Anes

Once again, nothing crazy here. Anes has been committed to the Badgers since January, and he remains steadfast with his verbal pledge.

DB Remington Moss

The Badgers got a commitment from Moss early in the cycle, as former safeties coach Colin Hitschler did really well here, and the athlete ultimately stuck with the program after the position coach left.

The only question really with Moss is whether his long-term position is cornerback or safety.

DB Jahmare Washington

This visit came together quickly, as Washington bumped his visit up a weekend, which could be indicative of how the position group has unfolded for the Badgers.

Wisconsin got a commitment from four-star Rukeem Stroud, while visits went well for targets Tre Poteat and Zadian Gentry.

It’s unclear whether the Badgers would be willing to take one or two more defensive backs, given the bevy of talent they already have at the position, but Washington could look to take one of those spots.

The question to me is if Washington will be an immediate take for the Badgers, or if they’ll wait for decisions from Poteat, who has been heavily connected to Tennessee, and Gentry, who is currently committed to hometown school SMU and is taking a visit to UCF.

If Washington is a take, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Badgers got their next commitment here. But, this situation is a fluid one and one to monitor.

DB Grant Dean

The in-state recruit is fully committed to the Badgers after popping quickly earlier this spring upon earning an offer from the program.
