Licking County Alcohol Prevention Program is seeking a Receptionist to join our team. The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization
SHIFT MAY VARY; PRIMARILY 12:00pm - 8:00pmOver the years the agency has developed a significant number of new and innovative programs in the community including, but not limited to, the Step One Program at the Licking County Justice Center, the Options 72 Hour Driver Intervention Program, a comprehensive gender-specific women's program that was the first in the county, some of the first prevention programs in the county, an intensive outpatient program, employee assistance programs (EAP), Department of Transportation services, drug-free workplace programs and training for other organizations, the first youth treatment program in the county and other similar services.
In addition to the direct treatment services that LAPP provides, LAPP is also heavily involved with the Community Intervention Alliance, OVI Court and the Licking County Intervention for Treatment, and other Specialized Docket Programs.
This full-time position provides a comprehensive benefits package, including a generous PTO package, paid Holidays, Health/Dental/Vision insurance, and a 403(b)-retirement plan with employer contribution. Licking County Alcohol Prevention Program is a Federal Loan Forgiveness Participant.
Licking County Alcohol Prevention Program, or LAPP, is a non-profit community behavioral health center, has been providing quality behavioral healthcare to adults and adolescents for more than 56 years and seeks to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals living with mental health issues and substance use disorders. LAPP generally sees over 1200 new clients per year.
As the Receptionist, you will be uniquely situated to support not only our staff, but our clients as well. When working with our clients, you greet them upon arrival, check them in for their appointments, and review their account status with them.
When new clients arrive, the Receptionist will complete an intake process with them, recording all necessary information and scheduling the client with an appropriate counselor. This process also includes assisting the new client with their paperwork and explaining the intake process and fee plan.
Additionally, The Receptionist Will
- Verify Medicaid eligibility when applicable.
- Accurately enter client demographic data into electronic client record.
- Scan documents to client's electronic health record.
- Coordinate urinalysis screens for MAT clients at check-in.
- Provide appointment-reminder calls to clients.
- In addition to providing confidential and courteous support to our clients, the Receptionist aides the agency staff by answering and screening all incoming calls, maintaining the agency schedule, and assisting with external correspondence including fax and mailings.
To be qualified for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
A Successful Applicant Will
- Have excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Have general computer and office-equipment knowledge.
- Maintain confidentiality of our clients.
- Treat our clients and staff with respect.
- Have at least 1-2 years of demonstrated receptionist experience.
Experience in a healthcare setting and with medical records, medical billing, and medical coding are preferred.
