Book: *** I have long been a fan of the Sherlock stories, especially since they seen to be ideally suited for audio presentations. This book is all of that and more ... adding in a connection to egypt, mummies and a curse. It is a short adventure that is fairly typical for the genre, but I am adding a star ... just because it is Sherlock. I was given this free advance review/listener copy (ARC) audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. #TheCurseOfNebhekara #SherlockHolmes #FreeAudiobkFacebkGrp

This is one of several Sherlock Holmes ‘fan’ novels written by this author, and although I’ve only ever read one original SH, to me it rings true to the style of Arthur Conan Doyle. The plot advances at a snappy pace, and includes some interesting London history along the way, as Holmes and Watson investigate a series of murders tied to an Egyptian mummy. A quick and fun read!

Sherlock Holmes and the Curse of Neb-Heka-Ra I received a complimentary copy and am voluntarily leaving a review. Sherlock Holmes, Dr John Watson, and Inspector Lestrade of Scotland Yard are called upon, once again, to put their detecting skills to the test. After a spree of gruesome murders is linked to the public unwrapping of a mummy, the question of a curse spreads like wildfire. Can Sherlock crack the clues and save the next victim before they meet a morbid end? Holmes needs the totality of his resources to solve this riddle, including the Molly Boys. Famous for his powers of deduction, armed with deductive and inductive reasoning, he insists on concrete facts. In the final analysis, will his superlative brain enable him to solve the case, or will the curse claim Holmes as its next victim? Margaret Walsh’s crime scene descriptions have a way of engaging readers and turning them into amateur detectives. Through the use of literary devices, Sherlock Holmes and the Curse of Neb-Heka-Ra enthrals readers by building suspense and adding unique elements to the plot. Subtle clues are dropped, revealing the culprit’s identity at the climax of the story. As a fan of this detective duo, I admire the author’s skill and am always excited to explore more of their writing. I rate Sherlock Holmes and the Curse of Neb-Heka-Ra 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for mystery lovers, especially fans of the crime-solving couple.

Sorry... Sorry, but I'm not impressed with this one. Slight spoiler: A minor character named Dorothy appears, though the author indicates she was born Daniel. What, seriously?! The only thing I kinda enjoyed was seeing people who really lived be a little involved. Christa
The idea really made me curious, and the book is fairly written, though there are some missing words or typos in several places.
Also, Holmes doesn't strike me as the person who will "sit and wait" for another murder to happen...
I like fast paced, but this was fast paced to the point of being abrupt. One moment we're doing one another, then suddenly another.
I think the author had a really cool idea, but the result wasn't impressive.

Sherlock Investigates Death by Drowning in Sand. Our favorite detective, and Dr. Watson, are back in a tale Doyle would have enjoyed as they investigate a series of Murders. The first victim is a doctor, dead by drowning in sand in this London office. Authentic to the original characters, this is an engaging and entertaining story.
