Varjo Aero, Amazing:
I am still in shock with the build quality and image display of this product. I was asked by my friend what it looked like; I told him it was so incredible that I couldn't put it into words. I love it and wish to thank Knoxlabs for their fast shipping and great packaging. I will be doing a video review on my YouTube channel after spending a little more time with the headset.

Plug and play
You just install the Varjo Base software, and you don't have any problems if you follow the steps from the application the first time you connect it. The graphics with these glasses are incredible, although I only use them for VRChat, so I don't take full advantage of the 90Hz since it's very difficult to maintain stable FPS due to the game. However, the 39 PPD is very enjoyable. The glasses are super comfortable and easy to put on. The eye tracking works very well, better than expected, even with my Asian eyes. The tracking works perfectly for them. I happily use these glasses every day or most days.

Varjo’s new price makes the Aero the greatest HMD deal out there for PCVR
7 years of experience and 6 different VR HMD units could not prepare me for the superiority of the Aero. The last couple of years with HP reverb g2 2nd edition gave me an excellent experience in both comfort & quality for my steam vr experiences but it was time for even higher resolution. 3 months of research led me to try the pimax crystal which turned out to be the greatest mistake of my life and an utter failure on a scale with which I would need to put on a clinic to note it’s numerous flaws, problems, and overall hot mess of tech. You can research THAT for yourself. During my 30 day return period for the pimax, Varjo cut the price of the Aero in half and from what I knew of it’s specs, this would do what I was after. What all of the information out there doesn’t tell you about the Aero is how evolved it is from the introductory period of it’s release 2 years ago. The Varjo client now allows you to step resolution 2 settings higher than the advertised 35ppi now! It truly has edge to edge clarity and extreme comfort for multiple hours of play. I chose to use valve index controllers and my entire steam vr library has ZERO compatibility issues and I just run everything from the virtual desktop now as the clarity of fine text is so high it is as natural as sitting in front of my 85” 8k Samsung TV that I use for desktop gaming. I had thought that inside out tracking was a must after 2 years on the G2, but going back to steam lighthouses I have to acknowledge the superior tracking accuracy and absence of “jankiness” in games where precision counts (sniping anyone?). I have nothing but praise for Finland now as they made my “holodeck” fantasies come true.

Varjo Aero requires a compatible Windows PC or laptop for use, meeting the minimum requirements listed here, and a SteamVR™ 2.0 (recommended) or 1.0 tracking system (available for purchase in our web store). An internet connection is required for setup and every three months for software updates.
