Youth Voices for Change

Joining youth voices in Asia and Latin America against sexual exploitation of children and adolescents

Youth Voices for Change (YVFC) is an initiative of the Down to Zero Alliance that seeks to position young leaders as central agents for change, strengthening their advocacy skills,
especially in digital platforms to promote campaigns for the prevention of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in Latin America and Asia.

In its implementation, the advocacy skills of the participants are strengthened in four main aspects: research, reflection, creation and dissemination. We work with teams of volunteers
and invited experts in two main areas: training in human rights, including youth advocacy, prevention of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, and gender. Technical training
that includes blogging, photography, video and digital content creation, so that young people are able to develop communication products with clear, innovative and impactful messages

The first version lasted six months with five participating countries, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Indonesia and India with the participation of 25 youth leaders, financed by
the "Flex Founds" project. The second version is part of the project "Building back better" in which 6 countries participate, Colombia, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Indonesia, Bangladesh and India,
with a total of 72 youth leaders.
