How to get through farm arrays? ›

Farm Arrays is divided into large, linear rooms. Large swathes of the region are overgrown with Worm Grass that can only be crossed by riding Rain Deer. Spore Puffs can be found in many of the region's indoor rooms and can be used to attract Rain Deer.

The Exterior is an extremely hard region, with platforming mechanics that will push the player to their limits.

Shelter failures can occur for any Slugcat except Saint, with a 2% chance in every region except for Five Pebbles, Metropolis, The Rot, and Looks to the Moon, where it does not happen at all. Shelter failures do not happen for Survivor or Monk prior to cycle 18.

Difficulty modes take the form of different playable characters: the Survivor (original) and the Monk (easier). If you like hard games like Hollow Knight or Dark Souls, stick with Survivor. The first issue is the "Great Problem"—the matter of helping "lesser beings", such as Lizards or Slugcats, ascend. This is clearly difficult as they seem completely driven by instinct and almost devoid of intellect.

There's no way to lose "hours of progress" in this game, because it always saves automatically when you hibernate -which you need to do every 10-15 minutes before the rain comes-. And if you lose progress because you died and lost plenty of Karma, you can easily gain it back by hibernating and stopping dying so often.

The best example I'm aware of is Rain World, which manages to be much more difficult than Elden Ring without resorting to cheap extrasensory AI tricks.
